The perfect month for Al Carter and Hugh Plumb to score their first 2012 win!

Carter and Plumb to promote Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

It has been a good season so far for Al Carter and Hugh Plumb, the two drivers of the SceneTap - B+ Foundation - Jetset Magazine Fall-Line Motorsports BMW. Even if they did not score the results they wanted in the last two races at Road America and Indianapolis, Carter and Plumb know that they are capable of doing the job right and finishing in the top five at Laguna Seca and Lime Rock to give themselves a chance to finish on the podium of the 2012 Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge.

Before the Continental Tire Sports Car Festival scheduled September 7-8 at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in California, The #45 SceneTap B+ Foundation Fall-Line Motorsports team is ranked 4th in the team point standings. Al Carter is ranked 4th in the driver point standings and Hugh Plumb is 5th because he did not score points at the last race in Indianapolis because of an early race incident and retirement that prevented him from driving the 45 car.

Al and Hugh are confident that their Fall-Line BMW that finished 2nd last year will be competitive at Laguna Seca and they are looking forward to this California race on the legendary road course.

Al Carter had a very busy summer and scored three podium finishes in 3 races in a single month; two in the ALMS GTC class at Mid-Ohio (2nd) and Baltimore (1st) and one in the World Challenge race at Mid-Ohio (2nd). Last weekend marked Carter's first professional career win and he is looking to take this momentum with him to California.

"I just have had an exciting month," said Carter. "I am ready to battle at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. Winning the championship is unlikely but I am going to do everything with my teammate Hugh Plumb to finish in the top three and score a podium finish at the last two races. I started on the front row last year and I am confident we are going to be competitive. I am looking to run up front all weekend."

Hugh Plumb is looking to return to Monterey, a track that he likes and where he wants to celebrate his first 2012 success. "I look forward to having a successful weekend in Laguna," stated Hugh Plumb. "What an amazing place to give The B+ Foundation and our new partner SceneTap their first win. It's a key market for SceneTap who recently launched its night life smart phone app in San Francisco. I am looking forward to promoting the SceneTap app at the track all weekend. Also September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and for The B+ Foundation it is a great opportunity to promote the "fight" at the track. I would like it to be the weekend we put the #45 BMW back in the top three in the championship."

September is an important month for Al Carter and Hugh Plumb and The B+ Foundation whose name and logo are prominently displayed on the #45 car since 2011. September is national Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and fighting childhood cancer is what The B+ Foundation of Joe, Chris and Ali McDonough is doing 24/7 since the loss of their son July 14, 2007. 46 kids are diagnosed every day with cancer and, thanks to programs like this one, more people hear about childhood cancer and get an opportunity to help and donate to non-profit organizations like The B+ Foundation.
