Covers come off new Walkinshaw Commodores
The covers have come off Walkinshaw Andretti United's ZB Commodores, as the new alliance readies itself for its first season in Supercars.
Both Scott Pye and James Courtney will run the same livery this season, as part of the team's bolstered sponsorship deal with Boost Mobile and long-time backer Mobil 1.
The look is an evolution of the Boost livery that Courtney ran last year, the mobile phone company taking over the door signage on the cars.
Mobil 1 retains its spot on the bonnet of the Clayton Commodores.
The team has also confirmed that Pye has been given the team's brand new chassis ahead of the season start in Adelaide, with Courtney set to run a re-skinned car from last year until a second new chassis is ready.
“From the moment the boys started putting the cars together, it was clear to everyone how good they look," said Pye.
“The orange will be new to me this year, but I already love it, it’s really striking.
“We’ve got some amazing brands linking up with us this year, it’s great to have partners show their support again in 2018, as well as welcoming new ones on.
“I can’t wait to see what it looks like on-track. And to get behind the wheel of it. Everyone in the team has done a mega job getting it to this point, now the fun begins!”
Pye will shake down that new chassis at Winton today, before both cars hit the track at the official test in Sydney on Friday.
