Promising starting position for Karel Abraham as he finishes tenth in QP
Cardion AB Motoracing rider Karel Abraham will start the last race of his debut season in the premier class from the fourth row on the grid after he produced promising performance in the qualifying session and finished in tenth position, 2,404 seconds behind the fastest rider and reigning world champion Casey Stoner.
Although the qualifying session was run on a partly dump but drying track, Karel Abraham improved his best lap time from free practice sessions by 0,853 seconds.
„I’m quite satisfied. In the last moments of the qualifying practice, when the rear tire was worn and slided a lot, I improved my time and eventually finished in tenth position,“ Karel Abraham, who completed 30 laps on board his Ducati Desmosedici GP11 and set a best time of 1:34,265, said.
Finishing 0,064 seconds ahead of Cal Crutchlow, who will fight with him for the Rookie of the Year award in tomorrow’s race, Karel Abraham added: „It’s gonna be an interesting start of the race because I have a problem with entering into the first corner, but I believe it will be a good race for us and we will enjoy it.“
