Change to Le Mans driver line up for Greaves Motorsport
It is with regret that Greaves Motorsport announces that Christian Zugel has been forced to withdraw from the 2013 Le Mans 24 Hours, due to family and business commitments. He plans to rejoin the team later in the season.
The team is able to confirm that a replacement has been signed at this late stage. Alexander Rossi, a reserve driver for Caterham F1 Team this season, will join Tom Kimber-Smith and Eric Lux in the #41 Greaves Motorsport Zytek Z11SN Nissan, running in the LM P2 class. Rossi is a front runner in the highly competitive 2013 GP2 Series, also with Caterham Racing. He has been a race winner in every single seater category that he competed in and was the 2008 Formula BMW World Champion.
Team Manager, Jacob Greaves. “We are sorry to lose Christian from our Le Mans lineup, he has been an integral part of the team over the past two seasons and brings many elements from his business world that have helped us. We are fortunate to have signed a driver of Alexander’s caliber and we are confident that we can combine our strengths to challenge for the LM P2 class victory at 90th Anniversary Le Mans 24 Hours.”
