extremely upset by the incident on track during the race and accepted his explanation that it was not his origional intent to strike Ocon, but that he was “triggered” and caused him to loose [sic] his temper."
"Decision The Driver is required to perform two (2) days of public service at the direction of the FIA within six months of the incident. (Penalty under Art. 12.3.1.c of the FIA International Sporting Code)."
The FIA report says...
"Fact The driver of car 33 made deliberate physical contact with the driver of car 31 in the FIA Garage."
Marko praised Verstappen's recovery drive to second, and branded Ocon an "idiot"...
"He lost 50 downforce points and still got closer. But that this fantastic drive is punished with such an idiocy is unbelievable. He had such a speed and was easy on the way - a pity! I don't understand it."

Re-winding to some comments made to Austrian TV station ORF by Red Bull's Helmut Marko straight after the chequered flag on the Verstappen/Ocon crash...
"A [lapped car], who is under contract with Mercedes, pushes the leader off the track. That's unbelievable! And then only ten seconds penalty... So I don't want to make any further comments, I've never seen anything like it before."
McLaren drivers Fernando Alonso and Stoffel Vandoorne have both received points on their licences for ignoring blue flags while being lapped during the Brazilian Grand Prix.
Do you think they care?
Speaking of potential for physical harm, how about Lewis Hamilton's post-race barrier disaster! That could have been worse too...
The good news is that their meeting went rather better than their interaction at the weighing station!
Connie Montoya, Juan Pablo's wife, might have just won Twitter today...
That was the year that his dad Jos, who was a lap down, took JPM out of the lead at Turn 4!
Here's our story on the summoning of Max Verstappen and Esteban Ocon to see the race stewards.
Hope they keep things civil!
Hamilton on the Verstappen/Ocon clash: "It was definitely a bit of a surprise. They passed us on fresh tyres when my engine was turned down. But I was able to stay with him, and then that crash happened and I was like 'great!' I need to hold on to this. He was still quite close behind, and I couldn't match his times with the power loss I was having.
"I was banging out the times. I had that fight, I really enjoyed it. Proud of everyone winning the fifth world title – it's astonishing."
AND Red Bull team principal Christian Horner has defended Max Verstappen over his physical altercation with Esteban Ocon after the collision that cost him Brazilian Grand Prix victory.
"Esteban was lucky to get away with a push, to be honest with you. Emotions are running high."
