(PETALUMA, CA – October 3) After a tremendous victory at the previous round of the American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patron at Circuit of the Americas, TRG will look for another victory at the Virginia International Raceway. VIR is a track where TRG has a remarkable record with three wins and two additional podiums. The duo of Ben Keating and Damien Faulkner feel fantastic in the No. 66 Viper Exchange/Port Lavaca Auto Group Porsche GT3 about this event.
Keating had a weekend off to enjoy his victory in COTA. After the recent win, though, he can’t wait to reunite with co-driver Faulkner for the race. With only two races remaining in ALMS, Keating also knows that the team and car CAN win. As for Faulkner, he has been a busy man. After the win in COTA, Faulkner was a part of the TRG-AMR driver pairing last weekend at Lime Rock Park in both an Aston Martin GT3 and GT4. After racing in two sports car races last weekend, Faulkner gets back to his Porsche GT3 duties and is excited to get back behind the wheel. After all, Faulkner took pole in this same race last year.TRG as a team looks forward to competing in the penultimate event of the famous ALMS series, and delivering another victory. All of the focus this weekend, like at COTA, will be on taking the No. 66 Porsche and Keating/Faulkner to the top step of the podium. Round nine of the series will be a two hour and forty minute enduro. The green flag will wave at 2:15 PM ET/11:15 PM PT this Saturday. Tune in to ESPN2 on Sunday at 5:30 ET/2:30 PM PT to watch all of the action.
Kevin Buckler on TRG on the VIR track for ALMS GTC:
“We are all very excited to be racing again at VIR and coming off our strong run at COTA makes it even better. We are “going for it” here and at Petit and I look forward to adding some more VIR hardware to our trophy cases. The team is ready!!”
