The 21-year-old joined the field as the Western Australian Formula Ford runner-up and took fourth in last year's points standings behind the dominant trio of Nico Jamin, Jake Eidson and Aaron Telitz.

Martin enjoyed a conistent campaign, having only failed to make it to the top four on three occasions. However, the Australian is still chasing his maiden win in the category.

"It is going to be a very strong field of drivers this year and I am very proud to again be a part of it," said Martin.

"To be able to race for a very competitive and professional race team like Cape Motorsports is an honor and to be back in America to fight for the 2016 championship is something I am very much looking forward to.

"The 2015 season was a great learning year for me and to finish fourth and win Rookie of the Year, I couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to the American racing scene."

Martin is the third driver confirmed for Cape Motorsports' 2016 USF2000 campaign, joining Parker Thompson and Nikita Lastochkin.

Team bosses Dominic and Nicholas Cape commented: "We know from watching Anthony last year the potential he has. With him running alongside Parker and Nikita, we have a very strong team. We now have the opportunity to go to war and see what we can achieve as a team. Race wins are the motivation from the get-go.”

Cape Motorsport was a dominant force in 2015, winning 11 out of 16 races.
