The scene at Turn 3 is a little... beachy!
That's putting it mildly. He got impaled by Bowyer and struck hard again in the door by Landon Cassill, at which point he dum-dummed around the track getting struck more times.
Byron: “I got hit in the door and I was the meat in the sandwich after that”
Red flag
And there it is.
Think we're going to get another red flag?
We still have 20 cars running, this isn't quite the Truck Series race from Friday night.
Race order at the restart will be Hamlin, Busch, Logano, McDowell, Preece, Ty Dillon, Jones, Larson, Bowman, Johnson. That's the top 10.
 
Surely this is a straight fight between the Gibbs Toyota duo out front, and the charmed Ford of Logano?
Erik Jones had a miracle escape, but he's seventh!

Byron's car was like a wrecking ball, swinging from top to bottom and taking out car after car. Ouch.

Bowyer slammed into Byron. Elliott hit him, and then more chaos happened behind.
Bowyer jumped McDowell but simply wasn't clear as he pulled back up the track.
Hamlin is called the leader.

Bowyer gets turned!

It's a Toyota wall, then a Ford charge.
They are side by side.
Hamlin can't pull in.
Busch leads.
Green flag
Here we go then, GREEN, GREEN, GREEN!

"Get us one" is Hamlin's last instruction from the pitwall. Straightforward.
Who's ready for this?
The restart order is Busch, starting on the inside, with Hamlin outside of him. McDowell is next, Logano is fourth. Bowyer is still in this, hanging in fifth, ahead of Byron and Preece.
One to go, this time by Mr Starter.
The Gibbs team seems laser-focused on repelling Logano now.
How did Ryan Preece make it through this?

Here's news from Kyle Busch: "I can't see out of my left-side mirror, I can not see runs at all" he tells his spotter.
Byron and Preece just made it by. Barely!
Bowman and Keselowski were taken out in that too.

Stenhouse appeared to cause that, and he took out Larson, Elliott and Harvick.
Busch is called leader ahead of Hamlin and McDowell.
