“It's a big question. Obviously along the way something went wrong and we need to learn from it. I think something went wrong, as in we didn't go and develop something in the right direction. So we missed something, not on purpose and not because something was by default set wrong.
"So it's up to us to find what went wrong and make sure it doesn't happen again. It's as simple as that, but not so simple to find and fix it as it sounds."
Then he's asked if he can challenge Mercedes and Red Bull, Vettel replies again: "Yes... Try harder man!" #awkward

We final got the audio of the Vettel session. He is asked in Italian how he reflects on losing the title after some time away from the track…
“It was good to get a little bit away, I’m looking forward to the next two races. Now isn’t the time to draw any conclusion, it feels like the wrong time. We will focus on the constructors’ championship now.”
The end-of-season feel is carried over in this story as Bottas and Sainz look ahead to 2019...

"I don’t really know the answer to that question that is what the future will tell, I go to America fully committed to do a great job over there and I see myself being there for quite some time but in the future you never know what will happen. I am super exited to go there, I went there, met the team and IndyCar from the outside looks like a lot of fun."
That said, Ferrari got its briefing with Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen out of the way early. Our reporter on the ground Adam Cooper reported it was a bit of TV scrum today – you never know what availability you’re going to get until it happens!
This takes place in the official press conference room, and exonerates them from their own team-organised press briefings – most of which are scheduled for later.
The day kicked off at 11am local time with the official FIA press conference, with drivers Marcus Ericsson (Sauber), Brendon Hartley (Toro Rosso), Kevin Magnussen (Haas), Lance Stroll (Williams) and Stoffel Vandoorne (McLaren) presented before the F1 press pack.
