And our winner, Cal Crutchlow, gives his reaction to that one:

"I was terrified. I broke really weak into that corner the whole race, I knew it was critical. I crashed there three years ago, I was scared to be honest but I knew I had to keep pushing or else I had to keep the heat in the tyre. The last 10 or 12 laps I didn't really push, just to keep the heat in the tyre. I was confident I could have won with Marc still in the race."
Rossi on his run from 15th to second:

"This morning, we discovered we had a good pace in good conditions. The first few laps were very fun, I hoped to get to Cal but today he was too fast and too strong. Congratulations to him."
Here's Vinales on his third place:

"Yeah it was so difficult, I come up to Aleix and Dovi so fast, and it was so difficult to overtake Dovi. I'm really sorry that Aleix crashed, I hope he was ok, but I'm so happy. We made a difficult choice with the tyres but it's great to get these 16 points."
The fans pour onto the track ready for the podium celebrations.
He's the first Briton to win multiple races in one season since Barry Sheene in 1979.
In comes Crutchlow to parc ferme, his second win of the season and his second of his MotoGP career after that wet-dry triumph at Brno.
Then it's Bradl, Bautista, Hernandez, Laverty and Jones scoring the final point at his home race. Great stuff!
Dovizioso brings home the Ducati fourth ahead of Lorenzo, Redding, while Smith surges up to eighth on the last lap!

Petrucci ninth, Miller rounds out your top 10.
Rossi gets second, Vinales is third.
...and he wins the Australian Grand Prix!
Crutchlow rounds MG for the last time...
Oof, replays show Hayden might have had some help from Miller in that crash!
Crutchlow meanwhile has started the last lap.
Hayden now down as well, one to forget for Repsol Honda...
Barbera has crashed out, not a great run on the factory bike for the Spaniard.
Dovizioso losing touch with Vinales in the fight for the last podium place now, another cracking ride by the Suzuki rider here.
Bautista and Hernandez round out the scorers for now, ahead of Laverty, Jones and Rabat.
Redding has managed to escape that midfield brawl for what is now seventh, then it's Petrucci, Miller, Hayden, Barbera, Bradl and Smith all chasing hard!
One of them is leading though, Crutchlow has 6.580s over Rossi with four to go.
The hard front tyre just folds beneath him - that's two of the five riders on that compound on the ground.
Aleix Espargaro is down at Honda hairpin!
Now Vinales clears Dovizioso, and almost straight away he's cleared Aleix - and then runs wide!
Dovizioso blasts past Aleix again into Turn 1, only for the Suzuki rider to dart back through at Southern Loop. Vinales still stalking the pair.
Now Hayden has been shunted down to 11th by Petrucci and Miller.
Lead gap update, it's 5.6s with seven laps left here. Cal is in control.
Until Dovizioso streaks past along the main straight, that is... this one is set to run and run!
But wait, Aleix is back ahead of Dovizioso before Vinales has the chance, great stuff!
Vinales has a sniff up the inside of Aleix at MG, meanwhile... a pass looks pretty inevitable.
Miller has been shuffled back to 11th in that midfield battle, not the result the Aussie will have been hoping for.
Top 10 order:

1. Crutchlow
2. Rossi
3. Dovizioso
4. A Espargaro
5. Vinales
6. P Espargaro
7. Lorenzo
8. Redding
9. Hayden
10. Petrucci
Now Aleix needs to watch for teammate Vinales behind, this is Motegi all over again...
Through goes Dovi into third!
Rossi runs it wide at Honda hairpin, that won't help his chances - 5.5s back from Crutchlow.
Good battle raging for third between Aleix Espargaro and Dovizioso as well, don't forget Aleix hasn't been on the podium all season.
Petrucci back ahead of Miller now, with Hayden, Redding, Bradl and Barbera all in the mix in a six-way battle for eighth.
11 laps left at Phillip Island, and 3.9s now is the buffer Crutchlow has out front. It's getting hard to see how Rossi is going to close that down.
Miller goes ahead of Petrucci for eighth place.
Lorenzo ploughing a very lonely furrow in seventh place, he's three seconds behind Pol Espargaro and six clear of Petrucci behind.
Crutchlow still edging away at the front, he's 2.8s up on Rossi and seemingly in control of this one.
