According to IndyCar, Fast 6 qualifying will begin at 6:06pm EST

P1 on Fast Friday, P1 in the first round of qualifying, P1 in Top 12 Shootout...can Rosenqvist do it again in Fast 6?

Okay, we are just over 10mins away from the start of Firestone Fast 6

We will take a short break and be back with you right here for Firestone Fast 6!

ADVANCING INTO THE FAST 6

Felix Rosenqvist

Alex Palou

David Malukas

Santino Ferrucci

Pato O'Ward

Alexander Rossi

Rosenqvist to the very top! 232.065mph four-lap average!!!

Simpson out and the Fast 6 are set

The fastest first lap of the Top 12 Shootout! 232.325mph

Rosenqvist is already getting close to the wall on his first lap

Rosenqvist was fastest in the first round and set the quickest lap of the week on Fast Friday, so it will be shocker if he doesn't break into the Fast 6

It's Rosenqvist vs. Simpson for the final spot in the Fast 6.

Simpson was the final driver to advance into the Top 12, so he's been on the bubble twice today now

Malukas in the Penske #12 rockets to P2 with a 231.486mph run!

Daly is OUT

Daly closed on McLaughlin via the ghost car, and he does it...for the moment!

230.712mph four-lap average

Daly found a bit of speed on that second lap, which is exactly what he needed to do...and he is flirting with that wall at the exit of Turn 2!

231mph Lap 1 puts him in the zone but can he maintain it?

The three fastest drivers from the first round are now getting their moment to shine, beginning with home hero Conor Daly

We now know that Collet, Dixon, and VeeKay won't take part in Fast 6 qualifying.

Palou, Ferrucci, and O'Ward are locks for it.

Rossi, Simpson, and McLaughlin await their fate with three cars left to go out.

230.577mph run for McLaughlin puts him sixth out of nine, bumping Collet from the Fast 6.

229.585mph run despite the fastest first lap, and that puts VeeKay slowest.

He also had a big wiggle exiting Turn 3

Another big loss for the third lap, it's all coming apart for VeeKay.

VeeKay above a 232mph average on that first lap. What a lap!

A 231.005mph run for Rossi, who slots in 4th of seven.

Surprising that he left some hybrid boost unused coming to the finish line

Another brief break as we are halfway through Top 12 qualifying.

Palou-Ferrucci-O'Ward-Simpson-Collet-Dixon is the order

Collet with a 230.539mph, beating only Dixon. But still, what a day for the rookie in his first Indy 500 qualifying appearance.

Collet getting very high and he is bleeding a lot of time

"That run was pretty sh*t," says Pato after his run.

Well, he's not thrilled

The sensational rookie is now on track...let's see what Collet can do

A frustrating 230.347mph run for Dixon, and that is last of five drivers so far.

This isn't looking great for Dixon after two 230mph laps, and he may not reach the Fast 6

Dixon, chasing history if he can earn his sixth Indy 500 pole, is now on track.

Pato O'Ward with a little lift and a 231.088mph run, beating only Simpson and losing out to Ferrucci and Palou. Had a big drop on that final lap, or he could have jumped ahead of Ferrucci
