The fifth year of Red Bull Global Rallycross (GRC) looks to expand on the virtues that have made this series so popular with teams, drivers and fans across the United States and beyond. Featuring a 12-race schedule that begins in Tampa/St. Petersburg, FL the final day of May and ends with a night race in Las Vegas at the same time as the annual massively-attended SEMA show, “The 2015 Red Bull Global Rallycross schedule stands to be our best yet,” said Colin Dyne, Red Bull GRC CEO.
Our inaugural event in 2014 showed how exciting this brand of racing can be for the fans and we’re looking forward to the opportunity to grow this event in 2015.

Dyne touts “the combination of one of the strongest calendars in all of motorsports as well as one of racing’s best broadcast packages,” as part of his rationale for this big brag. And he could be right. With added races and, therefore, more points on the line, Dyne “expects to see a thrilling chase for the championship.”
Returning to Daytona
The Red Bull GRC features two events in Florida, the season premiere in Tampa/St. Pete and an event on June 21 at Daytona International Speedway for the second consecutive year. It then moves to a United States Military Base (as yet unnamed) on July 5th, spends July 25th and 26th in Detroit, moves to the very popular Washington, DC race on August 15, on to Seattle on the last day of August, contests two races on the Los Angeles waterfront on September 12-13, two in Barbados once again on October 3-4 and ends in Sin City on November 5th.
The exciting series continues its broadcasting partnership with the NBC family of networks, with 14-1/2 hours of original content scheduled, marking an increase of 4-1/2 hours from last season. For the first time, Red Bull GRC Lites will have their own broadcast slate, with 30-minute shows of all events airing weekdays (scheduling TBA) on NBC’s NBCSN channel.
Already Daytona International Speedway (DIS) is touting its race on Father’s Day weekend, noting tickets go on sale this coming Friday, January 16th. The inaugural DIS race marked a victory by Rhys Millen, famed for his Red Bull GRC achievements, as well as a championship in Formula Drift and his challenge to the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. “We’re thrilled to be welcoming back Red Bull Global Rallycross,” said DIS president Joie Chitwood. “Our inaugural event in 2014 showed how exciting this brand of racing can be for the fans and we’re looking forward to the opportunity to grow this event in 2015.”
About the GRC
In addition to Millen, top rallying and action sports athletes competing include such well-known stars as Ken Block Bucky Lasek, Scott Speed, Nelson Piquet Jr and Tanner Foust. The series features open paddocks that allow fans to walk through garages, engage the drivers and teams and watch the mechanics as they make adjustments to the cars between each round. Manufacturers like Ford, Chevrolet, Subaru and Volkswagen compete for per-race and season-long honors.
