"We are very happy to work with Lucas from now on. We have an eye on him already since 2012, when he finished overall second at the ATS Formula 3 Cup and we followed his performance this year as well. We worked long hours to get him in our team," team principal Peter Mücke said, who is not only convinced by the performance on track of his new protégé: "Lucas fits great in our team. The chemistry is just right. He will make his way and he will continue to be successful at the European Championship with us. We have a great technical basis, what the vice championship title of the drivers and team rankings in the 2013 season showed."

And the Austrian, who was on start in 2013 for the Italian Prema Powerteam and scored a win, two second positions and six third positions at the Formula 3 EC, is happy about the outlook with the German racing stable. "I am looking forward to the collaboration with my new team," Lucas Auer said. "The racing stable of Peter Mücke has a long and successful tradition at the Formula 3. I am certain that I will be one of the front-runners again with the Mücke crew next year."

The FIA Formula 3 European Championship, which will be held on eleven racing weekends with each three events in eight countries in 2014, starts on the 19th/20th of April in Silverstone (England)
