NASCAR Cup Watkins Glen

NASCAR Watkins Glen live

Live Text

As Denny Hamlin gets set for the hat dance in Victory Lane, and takes a phone call, that's it from us for now.
But keep checking back for all the reaction and updates from Watkins Glen, as our three-person team dashes around the garage.
No new winner means more Chase berths to be decided on points, remember.
Larson plummets to 16th in the championship, losing 24 points in one corner and now just eight ahead of Bayne. They will all be pleased that Allmendinger didn't win this, though.
Hamlin has only ever led 10 laps at Watkins Glen, and they were those last 10 laps. That's how you do it.
Hamlin: "I woke up with back spasms, I woke up and couldn't move. I doubted being in the race car to be honest. I shoulda won both road courses! Who'd a thought that?"
Stewart: "It is so chaotic here, you know it's going to be a crashfest. I'll take a top-five here in my last run."
Allmendinger: "I turned him, not on purpose. The 78 started to spin, we were racing for fifth. I tried to cut under him, he turned, I just clipped him. Not very happy with myself. He did a great job, it's on me. I know he's going to be pissed off, I would be. I cost us the chance to win this race. I was happy with the drive back until I did that at the last corner."
Truex: "He said it was his fault, I said 'I knew that'. Thought I might have got a run on the 11, but got hit in the left-rear. Restarts weren't our friend today."
Keselowski apologises to Truex: "It's my fault. I saw the 11 was blocking low. I wanted to be outside to make a crossover. I was committed, I didn't think he'd come back up. He got the bad end of it, it was my fault. A Watkins Glen crazy day."
Both rear tyres have blown, and he's been forced to stop.
FINISHING ORDER: Hamlin, Logano, Keselowski, Allmendinger, Stewart, Kyle Busch, McMurray, Truex, Bayne and Kenseth.
Allmendinger gave Larson a shot, sending him around and into the barriers.
Truex gives Hamlin a more friendly nudge on the slowing-down lap.
That's Hamlin's first road-course victory of his career, and lays to rest the last lap incident with Tony Stewart at Sonoma.
Allmendinger picked up fourth after Larson spun at the final corner.
Keselowski spins Truex for 2nd in the final corner! Hamlin wins! Larson wrecks hard!
It's a Daytona 500 rematch...Hamlin trying to find off Truex.
Logano gets Keselowski back after a big slide at the Carousel.
Brave move by Keselowski to pass Logano around the outside of the Esses there.
Truex: "Dirt everywhere. At Turn 9 it's like a beach over there."
A lot of speedy-dry on the exit of the Carousel and all the way down the next straight. What could possibly go wrong there...?
