And now Vinales takes P14 off Lorenzo, so the reigning champion is on for a single point as things stand.
Through goes Aleix Espargaro into P13, this is looking like it could be another long afternoon for Lorenzo...
Lorenzo now has both Suzukis on his tail.
Crutchlow meanwhile takes 10th away from Pol Espargaro with a very neat move around the outside at Turn 1.
Barbera now relieves Marquez of fifth place.
Petrucci is inching away the head of the field, almost 0.5s clear of Dovizioso now.
Pedrosa now up to seventh at Iannone's expense.
Suzuki update: both Aleix Espargaro and Maverick Vinales are struggling badly, running P14 and P15 right now.
Still Petrucci, Dovizioso and Rossi out front. Big opportunity for the last named to claw back some vital championship ground.
Lorenzo has been demoted another place by Crutchlow, the reigning champion is P13 now.
Shades of their Assen battle there, as Marquez decides discretion is the better part of valour on this occasion. There's a championship to win, after all.
Miller goes through on Marquez for P4!
Marquez just starting to lose touch with the top three, he's got Miller and Barbera still firmly attached to the rear of his Repsol Honda.
Two tenths split Petrucci and Dovizioso at the end of the fifth lap. What price a first Ducati MotoGP win since 2010?
Lorenzo down to P12 behind the Aprilia of Bautista now.
Lap 5 order: Petrucci, Dovizioso, Rossi, Marquez, Miller, Barbera, Iannone, Pedrosa, P Espargaro, Redding.
The Italian was majestic at Assen until his engine let him down, fingers crossed his bike hangs on this time.
Here he goes, Petrucci takes the lead!
Now Dovizioso and Petrucci going at it hammer and tongs for the lead!
Yonny Hernandez is our first retirement of the day.
Meanwhile, Miller has cleared Barbera for P5.
And here comes Petrucci, he takes second place away from Rossi! Ducatis first and second.

Petrucci and Marquez keep swapping third and fourth places, Barbera right with them now.
Dovizioso keeping Rossi very honest here in the battle for the lead, amazingly all 20 riders survived that first lap.
Lap 1 order: Rossi, Dovizioso, Marquez, Petrucci, Barbera, Miller (up 10 places!), Iannone, P Espargaro, Pedrosa, Lorenzo.
And now Petrucci clears Marquez for third, so it's an all-Italian top three!
Dovizioso up to third, and moves clear of Marquez for second.
And Rossi takes the lead!
Good start for Marquez, he leads Rossi through Turn 1, then it's Petrucci and Dovizioso.

So, will see another surprise winner like Jack Miller in Assen? Pedrosa, Crutchlow and Redding were also looking good in warm-up.

The warm-up lap has begun.
And, of course, a word for Hector Barbera, who put his two-year-old satellite Ducati in a rather unbelievable P2 yesterday - in the dry, too.

Barbera said in the press conference he would've preferred for it to stay dry today, so tough luck on that. Hopefully, he'll still be able to profit from his stellar qualifying effort.
Worth noting what an absolutely miserable weekend it has been so far for Jorge Lorenzo.

Lorenzo crashed early on Friday, he missed the automatic Q1 cut-off in FP3, he crashed in Q1 and, having scraped by to Q2, he crashed there again.

Anybody having a weekend like that would welcome a change of conditions, but Lorenzo's struggles with the rain are well-documented - and he was just 20th in the warm-up, four seconds off the pace.

No German presence on the grid today - local hero Stefan Bradl will be missing the grand prix for the second year in a row.

It was a hand injury last year and, this time around, he is out with a concussion.
Marc Marquez has looked an easy favourite for victory in the dry - he's never been beaten here in MotoGP and, with the Yamahas not in the best of shapes, he didn't have that much trouble taking pole.

However, the rain makes for an entirely different story - and, in this morning's warm-up, Marquez crashed hard.
