The AVF by Adrián Vallés team had to face a difficult start for their 2015 campaign in the Formula Renault 3.5 opener at Aragon. After a positive qualifying session, both cars were forced to retire in Race 1. Dutch female racer Beitske Visser was stopped by a gearbox problem during the formation lap, while Mexican Alfonso Celis Jr was involved in an early contact. Due to the extensive damage that involved the car's floor, and other components, the long-distance performance dropped dramatically forcing him to retire.

Alfonso Celis Jr (#15) Qualy 1: P15 1’42”678. Race 1: DNF

“In qualifying I lost half a second due to a mistake I made, so I'm clearly not satisfied with that. Then at the first corner of the race I was forced to go wide to avoid the tangling cars I had in front. That didn't help though because I was hit by a Tech 1 car causing considerable damage. We tried to fight back for the points zone, but then the car became undriveable and we decided to stop”.

Beitske Visser (#16) Qualy 1: P11 1’42”149. Race 1: DNS

“My gearbox got stuck in first gear during the formation lap, so that was the reason why it took me so much time to go bak to the pits. We tried to fix the damage, but it was too late for the race. In qualifying we put together a good lap, although a small mistake I made cost me some valuable time: without that we could have been even more competitive”.

Sunday: Qualifying 2 9:50 – Race 2 13:30
