Red Bull F1 car spotted on Madrid railway leaves fans in stitches: "You can't park there, mate"

Formula 1 fans were left baffled after a Red Bull F1 car was spotted being filmed on railway tracks in Madrid.

As the highly anticipated debut of the MadRing on the Formula 1 calendar approaches, the host city has seen various promotional teasers, but fans were not expecting the latest stunt from the Milton Keynes outfit. 

Photos emerged this week on social media of a Red Bull F1 car rolling down the railway tracks of the Madrid Metro.

"Doing side quests is better when the main storyline sucks. I always love to watch RB videos like this," one fan commented on Reddit, while another added: "It's Red Bull, they do dumb promo stuff like this all the time. They previously brought an F1 car to the Chicago L."

"I don't even like Red Bull but I buy it sometimes because I'm thankful they do things like this and jumping from space," someone else wrote, and another fan posted: "Red Bull's historic car team must be an amazing job, always the wildest stuff."

Red Bull is known for pulling out all the stops when it comes to show runs and stunts. Previous promotions have included former driver David Coulthard performing doughnuts on the helipad of the Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai and Max Verstappen taking on the challenge of driving up a frozen ski slope in Kitzbühel, Austria, in an RB7 equipped with studded tyres.

"I love the Red Bull F1 videos, like the zero gravity pitstop, doughnuts on top of the Burj Khalifa, driving down a ski mountain. I'm still expecting them to drive upside down, you have to think it's in their minds," another fan posted.

Other reactions included: "Imagine your train being cancelled due to an F1 car being on the tracks," and "'YOU CAN’T PARK THERE MATE!'"

The 2026 Spanish Grand Prix, which will be the first to be hosted in Madrid, will take place from 11 to 13 September.
