Jeffrey Earnhardt to make Sprint Cup debut

The fourth-generation racer will drive for Go Green Racing at Richmond.

Jeffrey Earnhardt will be making his NASCAR Sprint Cup debut at Richmond International Raceway in September, driving the No. 32 Ford Fusion for Go Green Racing with CorvetteParts.Net as the sponsor.

Continuing a family tradition

"I'm really excited to get this opportunity and thrilled that CorvetteParts.Net is sponsoring my debut in Sprint Cup," commented Earnhardt. "The Keens have been very good to me and having their company be part of an important day in my career is pretty cool. I appreciate everyone at Go Green Racing for making this happen and look forward to doing my best to make it a good debut."

This will mark the first time two members of the Earnhardt family have competed in the same race since October of 2005 when half brothers Kerry and Dale Jr. raced against each other at Talladega. Kerry is Jeffrey's father and Jr. is his uncle. He is also (obviously) the grandson of NASCAR icon and 7x Sprint Cup champion Dale Earnhardt. His great-grandfather Ralph was also known as one of the best short track racers in the country.

Reuniting with old team owner

Jeffrey, 26, has driven for Archie St. Hilaire previously in the Xfinity Series, where he has 66 total starts and a best finish of 12th.
