The double testing session held in Barcelona between 19 and 20 October ended positively for Stefano Coletti. This was an important check for the young driver coming from a long stop due to the crash happened in Belgium.

The first day was run with Dams, the French team winner of the GP2 Series 2011 Championship. Stefano drove the first laps at the wheel of the Dallara Renault with the due care and he immediately realized that, despite the long stop, everything was fine and without particular physical problems.

The work with Dams' men continued well throughout the day until the moment came to fit a new set of tyres to get performance out of the car but, unfortunately, Stefano's attempt was red flagged. Team and driver showed mutual satisfaction for the work done during the day, despite it being partially spoiled by the red flag at the end of the session.

Day two was run with Scuderia Coloni, the team ended second in the GP2 Series 2011 Championship.

The work done with technical staff was deemed highly satisfactorily both by the driver and by the managers of the Italian team.

Stefano ended fifth in the morning session and first in the final afternoon session, confirming therefore all expectations on his full recovery.

The 2012 programme will shortly be defined and an agreement finalized with the team to face a crucial season in the career of the young Italo-Monegasque driver.

Coletti's next commitments will be at mid November with the probable participation in the GP2 Series GP of Abu Dhabi and the as much probable Formula One debut at the Rookies Tests following the race in the Emirates.
