Ocon promises to be "more careful" with Perez

Ocon and Perez look set to be together on track once again at the Red Bull Ring as they start seventh and ninth.

Following the accident in Azerbaijan the Force India management has told the drivers that they can race each other, but they have to avoid contact.

Ocon is confident that the message has been received.

"For sure we'll be together, it starts to be close between us," Ocon told Motorsport.com. "We will fight fair. The team will let us race, they talked to us both.

"I went to the factory before to discuss about it, and they talked to him as well here. We just have to not touch, as simple as that.

"We will both be more careful, not only me, but him as well. We'll keep racing fair."

The Force India drivers will be split by the penalised Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton and Ocon has not ruled out the possibility of racing Hamilton.

"If I pass him on the first lap I pass him, if I don't, I will try to keep with him, and overtake a few cars behind him.

"When you have corner, big straight, corner again, big straight, it creates opportunities, definitely."

Ocon was relieved to have made the top 10 after overnight changes found performance that was missing on Friday.

"Not fully happy with it, but it's good to be in Q3, because looking at where we were yesterday, and with the pace we had, we did a great change overnight and we really came back to where we were supposed to be.

"That's really good to see. So happy on that side, but on the other side, qualifying on used tyres, I think we didn't perfectly use that. A couple of tenths could have been possible."
