Michael Schumacher's former hypercar spotted as exotics flood Monaco GP

A rare Bugatti EB110 SS once owned by Michael Schumacher was spotted at the 2025 Monaco Grand Prix weekend.

In the lead-up to the 2025 Monaco Grand Prix weekend, a certain yellow Bugatti EB110 SS was spotted on the streets of the Principality. The French supercar was the fastest road car in the world when it was released in 1991 with a top speed of over 212 mph. This attracted a certain clientele, including no other than Formula 1 legend Michael Schumacher.

The car, chassis SS39020, rolled into the sovereign city-state alongside an ocean of other exotics, including George Russell's Mercedes-AMG One, Adrian Sutil's Bugatti Veyron Black Bess, and the now-famous McLaren Solus, which was lifted onto the superyacht Sarastar. With Monaco being a magnet for high performance cars this Grand Prix weekend, car spotters will be delighted with the machinery on show.

The EB110, while not in his ownership anymore, was purchased by the seven-time world champion in June 1994 during his successful season with Benetton. With five race wins already under his belt, plus a second place finish in Spain, this acted as a fitting early celebration.

The driver kept the car until 2003 when it was sold to Modena Motorsport, and in 2010 it was under the ownership of Reichel Sportwagen, a German specialist.

Former F1 driver Sutil has also been spotted this weekend in his rare Veyron 16.4 Super Sport. With a carbon fibre body and orange highlights, it certainly stands out against the backdrop of Monaco. Also in his collection is a Grand Sport Vitesse Black Bess, built as a tribute to the Type 18. With 24-carat gold accents placed around the body, only three were built at a price of $3 million each.

Unsurprisingly, Sutil also owns the Veyron's replacement, the Chiron, as well as countless other vehicles from other brands such as Lamborghini Reventón Roadster, Ferrari Monza SP2, LaFerrari Aperta, Porsche 918 Spyder, Mercedes-Benz CLK-GTR AMG, McLaren Senna LM, and a number of Paganis and Koenigseggs.

Alongside these specimens, Monaco has attracted an incredible selection of cars. Carlos Sainz's Ferrari Daytona SP3 was out in full force, as was Lando Norris' new Porsche 911 GT3 RS, and Lewis Hamilton arrived earlier this race week on a custom motorcycle.
