Mercedes launch kickstarts Jerez Formula One test
World Champion team officially unveils W06 Hybrid in pitlane ahead of opening official test.
Mercedes-Benz has taken the wraps off the car with which it intends to retain its Formula One World Championship title in the Jerez pitlane, ahead of today’s testing.
The team had already released pictures of the car from a snow-affected test at Silverstone last week, when both Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg drove the car for shakedown and filming purposes. Rosberg will drive the car today.
Williams has also launched its new car in the pitlane, the FW37. Valtteri Bottas will drive it for the first time today.
