Hulkenberg relishes ‘great’ Le Mans experience

Barely a week since his historic win, Hulkenberg is all set to resume his normal work.

It has been a hectic few weeks for the German driver which he describes to be as 'intense and long', after competing in Canada, following it up with racing in Le Mans and now in Austria.

But it is all smiles for the race winning #19 Porsche driver as he reflects back on the weekend.

"To be there, to win it with my team and my teammates has just been incredible," he said.

"You know very emotional moments and a great experience that I don't want to miss, so very proud about what we've achieved there."

Force India has made good progress

Talking about F1 and Force India, Hulkenberg is happy with the progress made by the Silverstone-based team.

"I think recently we've made good progress, we had a car in the points four of the last five Grand Prix's, so we see signs that it is getting better," he said ahead of the Austrian GP.

Like everyone else, he too pins hope on the Silverstone upgrade which the team is scheduled to bring.

"In Silverstone we'll get some new parts and major upgrades, so I really look forward to those."

"I'm quite sure, we can have a really strong second half of the season, which hopefully then will make up for the first bit, which wasn't quite to plan," he concluded.

Force India is seventh in the standings tied with Sauber on 21 points, just two points from fifth-placed Lotus.
