Max Verstappen, third place: "Yeah there were some good battles, I had to send it around the outside as were struggling with deployment through Turn 2 to 4 compared to our competitors. Top speed wasn't our friend today, so I tried to hang in there with overtake mode, but at one point I lost that, tried to do my own race, but had one tricky moment in Turn 2 as the track started to break up.
"Then the McLarens got my overtake mode, but once I cleared them I was happy with P3."
George Russell, second place: "Huge congrats to Kimi, an incredible result from him. When I looked on the leaderboard at the beginning I saw he was P5, P4, I knew he was going to be in the mix. It looked like a pretty strong race from us, and then I was just struggling on the tyres as we did the whole race on that one hard tyre. It was more positive than pre-summer, which is what I needed to achieve but, of course, I'd have loved to have been P1 today.
"To be honest, I thought we were both going to stay out. In the end it was a roll of the dice both ways. Made sense to split the cars, but at the end Kimi had great pace."
Kimi Antonelli, Italian GP winner: "Unbelievable. I'm so happy, I could never have imagined to be here today, but we pulled it off. It was quite scary as the tarmac was breaking up but I still thought I could do the corner. But I went straight, thought maybe I'd lost my chance, but lucky we still had the pace and could bring it home."
"After the second restart I knew I was up there and could have had a shot for the win. I believed in it, especially when I was behind George. But it was really difficult to break away with the tow being so strong."
The home crowd floods the circuit, as is tradition, and will watch their man from underneath the podium.
"Volare" rings out in the pit lane - and Antonelli certainly flew through the pack today.
Hamilton finishes sixth over Gasly, Lindblad, Colapinto, and Tsunoda - who clinches his first point on his F1 return.

And he's done it from 19th on the grid! Antonelli dazzles at home to clinch an unforgettable win, beating George Russell to clinch it! A great win to extend his championship lead.
Verstappen gets third place, as Norris did manage to get past Piastri for fourth place - he got the run to the Variante Ascari and dispatched his team-mate on the final lap.
Norris goes deep at Turn 1 again, concedes the place, but attempts to slingshot back at Turn 4.
But here comes Antonelli, at his home grand prix...
"Clean racing, please, clean racing," Piastri is told, having perhaps guided Norris towards the grass at Turn 3.
Antonelli, then, comes around the Parabolica to start his final lap.
Antonelli is already 1.1s clear of Russell - once again, 19th to 1st.
Norris tries another move on Piastri at Curva Grande, looks down the outside, but there's no way through for the reigning champion. Verstappen's loving this, as it's going to get him a clear third place.
Antonelli has to chase back the time he'd lost to Russell, as the leader is struggling a bit to keep the car straight through the Lesmos - Antonelli chooses to be less circumspect, and rounds his team-mate on the run to the Variante Ascari! Antonelli leads!
Norris tried a move on Piastri, but the two seem to have had a bit of a moment and it's allowed Verstappen to gap the pair of them.
...tries to force Russell into going onto the inside, which he does. He attempts the cut back, Russell actually goes deep into Turn 1, and Antonelli drifts onto the marbles at Turn 2 and drifts into the gravel!
A reprieve for Russell here, at least for another lap or so.
Russell now just half a second clear of Antonelli now - the championship leader simply has to pick his moment. Slipstream on the run to the Parabolica, saves it, and Antonelli....
Antonelli will be within overtake range on the next lap - here comes the battle for the lead!
We've also got a tasty battle for third shaping up, with Verstappen versus the two McLarens.
Piastri is back on Verstappen's tail, with Norris also in overtake range as he's dropped Hamilton.
Russell is going to be in Antonelli's range in a laps' time at this rate, as the Italian is just finding so much more pace out there.
Antonelli is continuing to hack away at Russell here, and I think it's going to be a foregone conclusion here as the gap closes to 2.8s. A fastest lap, and Russell is being told "no risks, bring it home".
Antonelli took a chunk out of Russell on that last lap, and now just 4.5s down on his team-mate. Piastri has dropped back a bit from Verstappen but trying to stay with him, as Norris will want to put a move on his team-mate.
Russell reports his tyres are starting to 'open up' as they get a bit too hot and worn.
Just 5.5s between Russell and Antonelli at the start of the lap and closing, as Verstappen gets the move done on Piastri again at Turn 1 to reclaim third place.
Gasly reports the circuit is breaking up at Turn 2.
Antonelli is told he needs to speed up a bit to catch Russell. 1m24.5s are the target, which he is managing.
Verstappen tries to get a move done on Piastri at Turn 1, but locks up and has to go to the escape road - giving the Australian a reprieve!
Norris clears Hamilton and gets up to fifth, and will see if he's got enough in his tyres to start putting a challenge together for third.
Piastri is still putting Verstappen under pressure - and moves back ahead of Verstappen into the Variante della Roggia!
Hamilton has Norris looking to do the same to him, as Colapinto dives past Tsunoda at Curva Grande to get up to ninth place. Lindblad is 7.1s up the road.
Norris has closed Hamilton down a bit now, and within a second of Hamilton. Piastri, meanwhile, is attempting to re-pass Verstappen to reclaim third.
Russell gets a "no further action" - so he's free to go. He's also been told he can push a bit to extend his gap.
Colapinto, meanwhile, has closed down Tsunoda and is within a second.
Verstappen dives down the inside of Piastri and claims third place.
"Are the lap times good enough at the moment?" Russell asks. He's told Antonelli will loom closer by the end of the race. There's 15 laps to go.
"Russell is under investigation, he's doing 25.2, if you stay within 10 seconds that could be an opportunity," Piastri is told by Tom Stallard. He's currently 9.5s behind, but with Verstappen fast approaching.
Antonelli moves past Piastri to move up to second place. Russell next, 8.8s ahead.
Verstappen rounds Hamilton at Curva Grande, and now Piastri is just 1.5s clear.
Russell is, indeed, under investigation for a yellow flag infringement.
"This tyre is terrible, mate," Hamilton complains, as his mediums are dwindling. Problem is, he's got both Racing Bulls in his pit window if he stopped now.
Hamilton outbrakes himself into Turn 1 and has to take to the escape slalom - which makes Antonelli's job very easy there. Piastri's next up.
Aston Martin reports suspected damage for Alonso and a hydraulic issue for Stroll...in case anyone was wondering.
Antonelli is closing down Hamilton, and now within 1.5s of Hamilton.
Russell is told about Antonelli's lap times, and offers a 'let me drive' riposte.
There goes Verstappen on Norris, and he's up to fifth - albeit 2.1s behind Antonelli now. Norris will attempt to stick with him to build his gap on Gasly.
Russell has been noted for a yellow flag infringement. Specifics to be detailed.
Russell is 6.4s clear of Piastri, who in turn is 1.8s clear of Hamilton, who is 3.5s clear of Antonelli. Verstappen has Norris in front of him, and should clear the McLaren quickly...but waits for the start-finish straight.
Antonelli now picks off Norris, easy pass into Turn 4. Fourth place for the home hero, and Hamilton next on his list.
Perez has a penalty for ignoring the escape road when he went off. Five seconds added to his race time.
Colapinto just cruises past Bearman AND Bortoleto as if they're not even there, moving back into the top 10. Next up: the Racing Bulls duo.
Antonelli ticks off Gasly, and gets back into fifth place, as Russell complains he's got too much derating on his current engine mode.
Antonelli pits, as does Verstappen. Mediums for Antonelli, hard tyres for Verstappen. They emerge in sixth and seventh, as the VSC ends.
Russell might have his work cut out here...
Stroll has stopped on-track. We've been told not to mention his 100 Q1 eliminations this weekend, so we'll be sure not to do that.
We have a VSC, and Hulkenberg, Sainz, and Ocon have used the opportunity to do it.
Bortoleto gets a move done on Bearman at Turn 4, giving him the provisional final point.
Russell's picked up the pace a bit now, as Verstappen is falling behind.
Antonelli goes wide at Turn 1, which keeps Verstappen in that overtake range.
Elsewhere, it's settled down a bit - although Bortoleto is catching Bearman for 10th place.
And Verstappen is very much in play here. Antonelli has been told that Russell will attempt to increase the gap over the Red Bull.
Piastri vs Hamilton is back on, the two having dropped Norris and Gasly by some margin now.
Russell tries another move at Turn 1, but this time is able to repel Antonelli into Turn 4/5! Mercedes tries to call off the battle between the drivers, but is that going to happen? Fat chance - arguably, if they don't battle, it helps Verstappen close in as neither is using their boost or overtake.
Gasly and Norris continue to battle over sixth.
Russell's back ahead again into Turn 1, and attempting to stall Antonelli out by holding the inside line for the Variante della Roggia - but Antonelli takes the place around the outside! A lovely move there, and the battle doth continue.
Lawson gets a black and white flag, presumably for earlier contact with Hulkenberg.
