Toyota was dominant in the opening stages of Rally Chile. Kris Meeke and Jari-Matti Latvala tied for the lead at the end of stage 1 but it was not to last, the duo quickly tumbled down the order as Ott Tänak, Sébastien Ogier and Thierry Neuville took control of the following two stages with only 6.6 seconds between the three.
