TOYOTA GAZOO Racing finished second in the 84th edition of Le Mans 24 Hours with the #6 TS050 HYBRID but had the victory taken from its grasp in a cruel late twist for the #5 car.

TOYOTA GAZOO Racing lost a likely victory in the second round of the 2016 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) when mechanical issues hit both cars at Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium.

Prior to the mechanical issues, the two TS050 HYBRIDs demonstrated significantly improved performance resulting in some close fights.
