Stephane Chosse and ADESS AG released renderings of its new LMP2 customer car, the ADESS-02.

The car follows all the cost-capped guidelines set out by the LMP2 category, the safety guidelines as well as improved visibility and driver comfort.

Chosse says he hopes the car will become a staple of both the United SportCar Racing series and the WEC, as well as branching off into the Asian Le Mans Series.

“We have ongoing discussions with different teams. The aim is to have the ADESS-02 rolling at the beginning of the 2014 season,” Chosse said in an interview with Endurance.info. “We want to develop (our brand) in the United States and Asia. (With) regards to the Unites SportsCar Racing series, everyone is waiting for a final settlement. I think the U.S. market is buoyant.”

The car is set up to be able to run with many different engines, but Chosse says right now the best bet is the Nissan.

“We started to install the Nissan (first) but other engines can be safely used including the Judd. The location of the generator has been well thought out, as well as the optimization of the airbox. ADESS AG has applied work on the small details to leave nothing to chance.”

Chosse began a study looking at the feasibility of building an LMP1 car, but decided to pursue the LMP2 instead.

“We started a study for LMP1, but it meant finding a customer…,” said Chosse. “The project is currently dormant but it is not abandoned. The study is well advanced, but it is not expected to continue in the short term. If we go there, we want to do it right.”
