LMH: Lapierre has cleared the #26 G-Drive, and is now going after the #38 Jota of da Costa. There's a 20s gap to make up on the LMP2 leader.
GTE Am: Early leaders Cetilar Racing have dropped to sixth. We understand Roberto Lacorte is at the wheel now having taken over from pro Antonio Fuoco.
GTE Pro: Epic battle for the lead between #64 Corvette (Milner) and #52 AF Corse Ferrari (Molina). The Ferrari is all over the rear wing of the Corvette.
LMH: In Glickenhaus land, the #708 has cleared the LMP2 duo of Jota's #28 car and WRT's #31 car - Gelael and Frijns driving those respectively.
GTE Pro: Lead change. Molina passes Milner after going side by side down the Mulsanne straight. So #52 AF Corse leads #64 Corvette now.
LMP2: United Autosports' #23 car, piloted by Alex Lynn, has cleared the Kubica-piloted #41 WRT for fifth in class. Kubica should have Pla's Glickenhaus for company soon.
Pit stop
LMP2: Lynn now brings the #23 car into the pitlane for fuel. That triggers a few more LMP2 cars to pit, including the #34, 82, 21 and 24.
GTE Am: The unscheduled stop for the #18 Absolute Racing Porsche was for a puncture. A familiar name for F1 fans is sitting P3 in class. The one and only Giancarlo Fisichella, driving the #54 AF Corse Ferrari.
Pit stop
LMP2: Da Costa brings the leading #38 Jota car into the pits, relinquishing third overall to the #36 LMH Alpine squad. The #29, 65 and 41 cars come in too, as do the 31 and 22.
GTE Pro: The #64 Corvette has fallen into the clutches of the WeatherTech Porsche. Good battle here. Tommy Milner versus Laurens Vanthoor.
Pit stop
LMP2: De Vries now brings the #26 G-Drive into the pits, as the #28 Jota of Gelael also pulls in. Da Costa retakes the class lead.
Pit stop
LMH: The #709 Glickenhaus pulls in, with Westbrook vacating the seat for Romain Dumas to take over. Conway also brings the #7 Toyota in, but remains behind the wheel.
Pit stop
LMH: Buemi brings in the #8 Toyota too for fuel, also remaining behind the wheel. Pla also takes the #708 Glickenhaus into the pitlane, staying in the car.
GTE Pro: #51 AF Corse (Calado) has passed the WeatherTech Porsche (Vanthoor) for P3 in class. Vanthoor was battling for P2 with Milner (Corvette) but has dropped to P4 now.
Pit stop
LMH: Lapierre performs a second pitstop for the #36 Alpine squad, collecting a fresh glug of fuel and rejoining in third.
GTE Pro: Just as I type, it's an AF Corse 1-2 again! Milner pits, promoting Calado back to second behind team-mate Molina in the leading #52 entry. Meanwhile in GTE Am, a slow puncture forced Inception Racing to make an unscheduled second pit stop. Barnicoat now sits P17 in class, moving ahead of the #95 TF Sport Aston Martin, which has also pitted for a second time.
GTE Pro: Maxime Martin (Hub Auto Porsche) has been given a drive-through penalty for exceeding track limits. It has come into the pits. Milner (#64 Corvette) and Richard Lietz #91 Porsche has also pitted for a second time.
LMP2: Some nice mid-guard battles in the second-tier category; Hanley and Brundle are battling over 10th, with Nato and Jarvis having a close-quarters battle over P12. Jarvis takes the place aboard the #82 Risi Competizione car.
LMH: Out front, the #7 Toyota in Conway's stewardship is still leading, as the #8 Toyota of Buemi is now 43s in arrears. Lapierre in the #36 Alpine is a further 29s behind.
GTE Pro: Plenty of action in the pits. Hub Auto has served its drive-through. Dries Vanthoor is now at the wheel. #51 AF Corse enters pit lane from the lead after inheriting the advantage. Driver changes galore. Daniel Serra #52, Earl Bamber #79, Richard Lietz #91 have joined the fray.
GTE Pro: Approximately, a 15 lap second stint for the field as conditions are a lot drier compared to the start.
LMP2: The #22 United USA car is currently being investigated for a pitstop infringement. Albuquerque's behind the wheel of that entry at the moment, currently challenging the #28 Jota.
GTE Pro: After the second round of stops. #52 AF Corse Ferrari leads #51 AF Corse Ferrari by 5s. WeatherTech Porsche with former Le Mans outright winner Earl Bamber now at the wheel is third, 7s adrift of the lead.
GTE Am: After 2 Hours: #83 AF Corse (Niklas Nielsen) leads #33 TF Sport (Felipe Fraga) with #98 Aston Martin Racing (Nicki Thiim) third. Plenty of Bronze rated drivers in now including the 75-year-old Dominique Bastian in for class poleman Julien Andlauer in the #88 Dempsey Proton Porsche.
Pit stop
LMP2: The leading quartet of LMP2 cars have come in, the #38, #26, #29, and #65 machines.
GTE Pro: #51 AF Corse with Alessandro Pier Guidi aboard has taken the lead from Daniel Serra in the sister #52 entry after repeatedly swapping places on the Mulsanne, Pier Guidi finally getting the move done into Mulsanne Corner. Meanwhile, the early leading #64 Corvette is down in sixth after taking on more fuel in its second stop, having done a short fill on the first.
LMP2: The bulk of the LMP2 class has followed the top four in, taking advantage of a slow-zone. A few driver swaps; Blomqvist takes over from Gelael in the #28 Jota, Loic Duval takes over in the #70 Realteam entry from Nato, Hedman takes over from Hanley in the #21 Dragonspeed, and Chatin picks up from Pilet in the #48 IDEC car. Van der Zande also picks up the #34 reins from Brundle.
Pit stop
LMH: Conway is in from the lead, taking on a set of fresh tyres in addition to fuel. That'll let the #8 Toyota take over the lead for a bit.
LMH: Buemi almost gets nudged off the circuit by the #39 SO24 Graff machine, piloted by Arnold Robin, at the Dunlop curves. Poor form from the LMP2 runner, as Buemi's carving through traffic.
Quote
LMH: "It's all good, Seb, all good," Toyota tells Buemi after he asks about damage following that contact.
LMP2: More driver swaps - Tatiana Calderon vacates the #1 Richard Mille entry and Visser takes over. Ryan Cullen has also replaced Jarvis in the #82 Risi car.
GTE Am: #33 TF Sport Aston Martin now leads taking over from #AF Corse (Niklas Nielsen) who had to make an unscheduled stop. The car has dropped to P3. Meanwhile, it is some turnaround quite literally for Fraga after being turned around on the track after a chaotic opening lap.
GTE Am: It's another right rear puncture for the #71 Inception Racing Ferrari. The car has dived into the pits.
Pit stop
LMH: Buemi now brings the #8 Toyota in, relinquishing the lead back to Conway in the #7. Lapierre also brings the #36 Alpine in, vacating the seat for Negrao. The #709 Glickenhaus also had a stop.
LMP2: A good scrap between the two WRT entries, with Frijns in the #31 getting past the #41 car of Kubica for sixth in class. Albuquerque in the #22 United car is lurking just behind.
GTE Pro: The AF Corse Ferraris remain in command, they have a 7s lead over the Earl Bamber driven WeatherTech Racing Porsche as rain begins to fall.
LMP2: Albuquerque has indeed caught up to Kubica, having been dropped by Frijns. The #22 United machine tracks Kubica into Mulsanne and dips past for seventh in class.
Rain
There's been a few sprinklings of rain once more. Sportscar guru Gary Watkins reports that it's raining pretty hard on the pit straight.
