Tim Wilkerson puts down one QUICK run during qualifying in Houston

Wilkerson, who already has two wins this season, earned his first No. 1 qualifier of the season with his Friday night run at Royal Purple Raceway just east of Houston. Wilkerson’s 3.899-second push at 327.59 mph in his Ford Shelby Mustang was the best in class, a personal best and track record elapsed time. Wilkerson will face Jim Campbell in Sunday’s first round of eliminations.
