Motorsport Network photographer Ercole Colombo, recalls some his favourite memories of “Il commendatore” or as Colombo called him "l'Ingegnere"- Enzo Ferrari, on the weekend of the Italian Grand Prix and the celebrations of the Scuderia's 90th year. Speaking from his studio based in Monza, he shows off mementos and memories from his career as an F1 photographer, spanning over 700 Grand Prix. Colombo explains about how Enzo’s “Dino” award helped catapult his status and what it was like to navigate a tricky relationship with Ferrari.

You can catch Ercole’s latest photographic exhibition in Monza town centre this weekend, in the Piazza Roma. Entitled “Campioni nel Cuore / Champions in the heart” it presents a collection of finest Colombo's work over his career. Entry is free and is open over the course of the Grand Prix weekend. The exhibition runs until the 22nd of September.
