Red Bull set to decide on engine plans tonight

Both Daniel Ricciardo and Daniil Kvyat have used four engines in the first seven races of the season, and will get a grid penalty once they run the fifth unit.

The team had a difficult Canadian Grand Prix as it tried to delay the change, but admitted it was likely to serve the penalty in its home race this weekend.

Ricciardo says a decision is expected to be made later today.

"It is likely, we are definitely looking into it," said Ricciardo. "I think we will have a decision probably by this evening what we do for this weekend.

"It looks like we will take a penalty here, and see what chance we have in Silverstone and Budapest.

"I wouldn't be surprised if we see it here but probably a few hours away from a decision."

Moving on

Ricciardo said he had already moved on from the disappointment of the Canadian Grand Prix, and he was focused on returning to the top with Red Bull.

"I expressed some frustration in Canada," added Ricciardo, who won in Canada last year. "It was a bit of a spiral effect from one year on to the best day of my life to a tough weekend.

"I let some frustration out, but I got back after the race, back home to Europe, and assessed the weekend, and I think unfortunately sometimes you have to be a bit patient and for sure I am set now with Red Bull and I would love to try to get back on the top step with them.

"I just have to be patient and work it out with them and hopefully let our some frustration on track in a good positive way. My target is to get back on top with them. The future is long."
