Alex Albon reveals key Williams F1 progress but warns team may still be on the back foot
Alex Albon says Williams has used the five-week break before the Miami GP to work on its bloated car, though he remains cautious about how much ground it has gained on its rivals

Alex Albon has confirmed that the Williams Formula 1 car has lost weight during the five-week break ahead of the Miami Grand Prix.
The Grove outfit had been battling with an overweight car in the opening three rounds of the season, but the unexpected April break gave the teams a chance to reset before the season continues in Miami.
"I'm excited. I think our car's gone into training camp for the four or five weeks. Lost a little bit of weight," Albon explained during an interview on the Up To Speed podcast.
While the 30-year-old driver was positive about the changes made to the Williams car, he remained realistic in the fact that other teams will also be bringing a wave of upgrades. For this reason, it will once again be difficult to perform compared to the rest of the grid at this stage.
"We will see. I think the biggest thing for us is it's all subjective in a way, like F1 always is. We know our upgrades should make us go faster, but there is no doubt that everyone is bringing upgrades that are going to make them go faster," he added.

"So how much is it? You poke around, speak with the other drivers, and see what they think, if they're willing to give you some information or not. But for us at least, I think this time has been spent really well.
"I still think we're on the back foot, but part of me is afraid because the top teams always do well on regulation changes. You give them a five-week break, I'm sure they're pretty good at making the most of those five weeks."
The Miami Grand Prix weekend will take place from 1-3 May at the Hard Rock Stadium and will feature the second sprint race of the season.
