Abu Dhabi GP practice 1 results: Hamilton on top
Another Mercedes showdown for the Abu Dhabi Friday practice 1.
After fine-tuning cars in the first part of the session, while the teams were working on their programmes, we saw title contenders interchange first two positions on the timesheet few times. But point leader Lewis Hamilton managed to snatch a little more than one tenth from Rosberg's time.
Departing from Ferrari after a five year stint Fernando Alonso posted third fastest time, but it was 1.708sec slower than Lewis Hamilton's.
Will Stevens, who was signed by Caterham on the last minute was more than 7 seconds slower than Mercedes.
