The quality of the attending teams combined with the surprises in qualifying meant the cards dealt a very odd hand. The outcome of the race was in doubt right to the end, thanks to the wind and clouds that threatened to make a mess of everyone’s plans. In the end there were no Safety Cars and it was the n°26 Norma of Dhouailly, Accary and Glorieux that won for the second time in a row looking nicely set up for the race for the title. Zollinger, Mondolot and Thuner finished less than fifty seconds behind the winners.
