More drama for the #98 Aston as Paul Dalla Lana clouts the barriers at Arnage!
Both Audis have pitted, and had particular attention to cleaning the number panels on the side.
Looks like Dalla Lana has been able to continue, but not his finest hour right now.
Lapierre on a good run right now, he has Beche's LMP2 lead down to 43s. Rast's G-Drive machine the only other car on the lead lap.
Hartley is back on track in the #1, 19 laps down on the leaders.
But not for long as the #1 Porsche is limping around very slowly.
Yellow flags at Porsche for the stricken, er, Porsche.
And it's going again, well, a bit faster.
Richard Bradley - or 'Captain Bonkers' as he's affectionately known to the team - gets out and hotfoots it to safety.
Slow zone at the Porsche Curves, presumably for the #47.
Both the LMP2 leaders pitted, with the gap down to 34s between #46 and #36.
Hartley meanwhile has got the #1 car back to the pits.
An incredibly slow stop from LMP2 leader #46, it has dropped from first to third in class.
Lapierre now leads LMP2 in the #36 Signatech, with Rast in second in #26 G-Drive.
Oreca (that Alpine is really just a rebranded Oreca) dominating as anticipated, locking out the top three places.
Leading Toyota #6 makes its 11th pitstop. Conway stays in, no fresh tyres.
Penalty time - this time it's Minassian in the #27 BR01 for passing behind the Safety Car.
On the positive side, at least he didn't throw gravel at anyone.
All pretty static in GTE Pro right now. It's still Muller's #68 Ford 18 seconds clear of Vilander in the #82 Ferrari.
The #88 Porsche, with Heinemeier-Hansson at the wheel, still out front in GTE Am.
Who said Germans don't have a sense of humour? Not us, we find them hilarious. And to prove it. This...
Enough frivolity, lead gap is 12s between #6 Toyota and #2 Porsche.
Dumas is slicing into Conway's lead. He's on lighter tanks, remember, as they are both running to different pitstop sequences.
Dumas is flashing his lights at Conway in the Porsche Curves, like an impatient salesman wanting to pass a tractor towing a caravan.
Race Control: "Team manager Team #7 can you ask your driver if he's having a problem identifying the blue flags that are being shown to him?" Ooooooh, sarcasm.
The #91 Porsche of Kevin Estre is the offending party as its engine cries enough.
Conway was just 3s clear of Dumas. At least the same safety car should pick them up.
And Andrea Pizzitola has gone off in the #25 Ligier!

The #66 Ford, which had been running fifth in class, is wheeled into the garage.
The #2 Porsche, which was on a scheduled stop, has been held at the end of pitlane until the second safety car.
This lull in the action gives us the perfect opportunity to find out from FIA President and ACO President Pierre Fillon just why this sportscar racing lark is so popular right now...

While the safety car is out, let's catch up on some race highlights too.

The first two hours feel like a long time ago, eh... We had Brad Pitt, and everything!

Lead change in LMP2 as Lapierre hands over the #36 Alpine to Menezes. Now Rast in the #26 G-Drive leads the #46 TDS Racing car of Beche.
