Tyler Reddick finished a strong fourth at Texas, but saw his incredible 110-point lead shrink ever-so-slightly to 109 points after Denny Hamlin's runner-up finish.
Chase Elliott's win vaulted him up to third in the standings, 117 points back of the lead.
The biggest mover in the standings was Erik Jones, who jumped four positions from 26th to 22nd. He won Stage 1 at Texas, and that points haul was critical to his sudden jump in the standings.
The biggest loser was Christopher Bell, who fell from ninth to 13th in the standings after wrecking from the lead early in the race.
Later in the week, Ryan Preece was docked 25 points after wrecking Ty Gibbs, dropping him from 12th to 13th in the standings. He was +63 above the cutline, and is now +38 after the penalty.
