The Cardion AB Motoracing rider Karel Abraham will start the Gran Premio Aperol di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini from the fourth row on the grid after he made a significant progress in the qualifying practice at the Misano Circuit and finished twelfth.

„I am satisfied with the result of the qualifying practice,“ Karel Abraham said. The gap between him and Hector Barbera, who finished ninth as the fastest rider on board the Ducati Desmosedici GP11, was only 0,135 seconds. „Of course, it could be even better, but I am glad that the gap between me and the riders in front of me isn’t too big,“ he continued.

While the other riders changed used tyres for the new one in the last moments of the qualifying practice, the twenty one years old rider continued on the worn tyres and set a best time 1:34,727.

„We use a combination of the soft rear tire and hard front tire from the first free practice and it works well. We will make some adjustments on the set-up of the motorcycle tomorrow and the we will see,“ Karel Abraham, who finished 1,589 seconds behind the fastest rider Casey Stoner, added.
