United Autosports will be heading to Macau for the fourth year in a row in November (14th-17th) to contest the 2013 City of Dreams Macau GT Cup.

The team have had their entry confirmed to run two Gulf sponsored McLaren MP4-12C GT3 cars at the fast paced street circuit. The race received over 70 applications with United Autosports being only one of two British based teams to enter.

United Autosports regulars, Richard Meins and Danny Watts will be the drivers tasked with the challenge of taking on the daunting track in the 60th running of the Macau Grand Prix.

The team are hoping to continue their run of good form with a fourth consecutive podium, following on from Danny’s three previous podiums, at what is a truly international event. The team will be supported by Gulf Marine and the Noble Group in their efforts this year.

Richard Dean, Team Owner and Managing Director, United Autosports:

“We are really pleased that our entry into the Macau GT Cup has been accepted for 2013. We love the event and we seem to go really well here, having had 3 podium finishes in the past 3 years we have entered. We have a really strong driver line up in Richard and Danny so fingers crossed it will be a good event. Not only is the track a challenge for the drivers, but logistically, it is a challenge for us going to Macau. Loading the cars and getting all the staff to Hong Kong, then a ferry across to Macau itself is not an easy task, but it is well worth it. It is one of the highlights on the United calendar.”
