Through acquisition Motorsport.com launches new digital platform in Spain
Motorsport.com is expanding to Spain launching its new digital platform in the country.
MIAMI – (March 31, 2016) – Motorsport.com, a Miami-based technology and digital media company, today announced it has expanded its world-class editorial presence in southwestern Europe with the launch of the digital platform, Motorsport.com – SPAIN.
The strategic entry into Spain continues Motorsport.com’s aggressive channel expansion program targeting Europe and areas beyond.
The announcement leverages the company’s acquisition of Spain’s leading moto racing digital media company, Motocuatro.com and further expands on Motorsport.com’s position as most-viewed motorsports website in the world.
“We are very excited to bring Motorsport.com to Spain,” said Gustavo Roche, vice president of business development, Motorsport.com.
“Our strategic expansion into Western Europe reflects the increased global demand for our premier motorsports content, including a rich focus on two-wheel racing.”
As part of the announcement, Motorsport.com will expand its editorial coverage of MotoGP, Moto2, Moto3 and World Superbike with up-to-the-minute news from moto racing journalist extraordinaire Oriol Puigdemont.
Combined with extending its in-market coverage of F1 and the World Endurance Championship, Motorsport.com-SPAIN will immediately become the most-viewed motorsports digital media platform in the region.
The new Spanish operation will be based in Madrid and will be headed up by veteran and highly reputable journalist, Jacobo Vega, Director of Motorsport.com – SPAIN, along with a leading team of editors and columnists.
“Entry into Spain further positions Motorsport.com as the premier destination for in-depth analysis and multimedia programming, including images, graphics, videos and live streams – all in native tongue,” said Jacobo Vega.
“I am extremely pleased to work along side Motorsport.com Editor-in-Chief Charles Bradley and his exceptional editorial team in providing Spain’s racing enthusiasts the depth and quality of motorsports coverage they deserve.”
