Former WTCC champion Rob Huff was taken to hospital after a crash while testing with Lada Sport Rosneft at the Hungaroring on Tuesday.
The front left suspension of his Lada Vesta failed on the main straight of the Hungaroring, sending him spinning in to the barriers at 180 km/h.
”Big shunt at turn 1 here in Budapest, lots of bumps and bruises but I will survive!” wrote Huff on his social media channels.
”Hitting a wall at 180kms is not fun but u can’t get rid of Huffy that easy!” he later tweeted.
The crash sidelined Huff for the remainder of the test, with former Lada driver Jaap van Lagen and reigning Super TC2000 champion Nestor Girolami completing the test for the Russian outfit.
