Tom Chilton is set to race a third Sebastien Loeb Racing-run Citroen in the WTCC next season, Motorsport.com has learned.
Chilton, the older brother of former Marussia Formula 1 driver Max, has raced a ROAL Motorsport Chevrolet in the series for the past two seasons, taking victory in last year's first Beijing race.
But Motorsport.com understands an agreement has been reached for the Brit to join SLR's confirmed 2016 drivers Mehdi Bennani and Gregoire Demoustier in a third Citroen C-Elysee.
It means ROAL must now find a replacement driver to partner Tom Coronel if it is to continue in the WTCC next season.
The Dutchman could, however, switch to fellow Chevrolet runners Munnich Motorsport next year if ROAL is forced to exit the series.
