HANNspree rules the podium

HANNspree teams have dominated the eighth round of the FIM World Supersport Championship at Brno today, with three of its supported riders finishing in the top three positions.

HANNspree Ten Kate Honda's Jonathan Rea scored his first win in his debut World Supersport season. Rea's HANNspree Ten Kate Honda team-mate and current championship leader Andrew Pitt finished second, while HANNspree Stiggy Motorsport's Joshua Brookes completed the rostrum in third.

Talented Ulsterman Rea has shown consistency on the track at every round so far this season, scoring regular top six finishes since the opening event at Doha. Rea had been determined to clinch[SSpodium] his first victory in the Czech Republic this weekend, and did so by the narrowest of margins from team-mate Pitt, who now leads the championship by 32 points.

Meanwhile, Gianluca Nannelli and Russell Holland also had a positive day at Brno. The HANNspree Honda Althea team-mates scored sixth and seventh positions in the 18-lap race. Brookes' Hannspree Stiggy Motorsport Honda team-mate retired from the race with technical problems on the final lap while battling for the lead.
