AVERAGE QUALIFYING FOR DONI TATA PRADITA

Doni qualified in 21st position, 4.6 seconds behind the leader Cal Crutchlow. The situation was not easy today for the young Yamaha Indonesian rider who races here for the first time.

Tata Pradita also has to be careful not to crash on the shoulder that was broken previously in Misano. There is hope for the race tomorrow as Doni knows now the track better and has a good set up for his R6.

The World Championship leader Cal Crutchlow (Yamaha World Supersport Team) crashed in the beginning of the session then went again on the track to establish a new record for the Imola circuit in 1'50.680, with the average speed of 160,549 kph. He was half a second faster than Kenan Sofuoglu (Honda Ten Kate Racing) while Joan Lascorz (Kawasaki motocard.com) was in third position, 1.2 seconds behind Crutchlow. Massimo Roccoli (Intermoto Czech) was in fourth in front of Garry McCoy (ParkinGO Triumph BE 1) and Mark Aitchison (Honda Althea Racing). Second in the provisional standings 22 points behind Crutchlow, Eugene Laverty (Honda Parkalgar) was only 7th, 1.9 seconds behind his main opponent.

Doni Tata Pradita: "It was not so bad. After five laps, I had a little problem. I heard a strange noise in the first corner and I stopped at the pits. I took the second bike but the set up was not completely OK. I think I can make 1'54. I will try to do some good work tomorrow."

Martial Garcia (team-manager): "I am a little bit disappointed. I was expecting a quicker time. There is a small excuse as this is the first time for Doni on this difficult track."
