Seven up for Javi
Team Alstare Suzuki Corona Extra rider Javi Fores ended final qualifying with the seventh quickest time and will start tomorrow's 21-lap race from the second row of the grid. But the Spaniard is a little disappointed because, until a couple of minutes from the end, his time would have been good enough for a place on the front row. A couple of riders sneaked in some fast times right at the end of the session and so Javi found himself on row two.
Sebastien Charpentier once again took pole position, but will not the start the race tomorrow as he broke his left collarbone in a crash in the morning session. Second quickest is Fabien Foret (Honda), ahead of Gianluca Nannelli (Ducati), with Broc Parkes (Yamaha) completing the front row.
JAVI - 7th, 1:52.936
This weekend has been very good so far and the bike has been working very well. I am a little disappointed not to be on the front row and lost the place right at the end of today's final qualifying. But my lap times are very close to the leaders and I hope to make a good start and fight with the leaders right from the green light. The team have worked hard and given me a very good bike, so I feel very motivated to do the very best I can and hopefully get my best result of the season.
