Jari-Mari Latvala suffered a puncture on stage 5 and collapsed down the order into a non-points scoring position. Kris Meeke also suffered more issues as he damaged his rear wheel, the limping Brit was then caught up by Elfyn Evans who was anxious to pass him. Elfyn Evans finished the day on top, ahead of Ott Tänak and stage 6 winner Thierry Neuville.
