It was an eventful start to Rally France as cattle held up Sébastien Ogier before spinning in a right-hand hairpin and losing time as Kris Meeke and Sébastien Loeb both suffered damage. Ott Tänak edged into the lead by the end of the third stage ahead of Elfyn Evans and Thierry Neuville.
