On Saturday, early in the morning the crew Jozef Béres and Petr Starý travelled to Sweden for their next start of the Rally World Championship competition. It was Sweden, where they got through the premiere competition in Toyota Corolla WRC last year and they finished there in the 35th place. Also the supporting team travelled with them to the place of competition and will take care of the crew and also of the training car while evaluation of the track.
Jozef Béres, jr. - The driver: "In my opinion this competition will be harder as previous one in Monte Carlo. We will have to be careful of the barriers near the track. It is possible to lean of it if it is necessary but we have to avoid the situation of hitting the barrier by the front side of the car because it will case the sliding of our car. There is possibility of creating trails, which sometimes reach the half of the wheel, due to the fact that we used to go in measured stages many times, especially the second time. We have to be careful when we will go through horizons as well, because there are many of them and jump is really high and long."
Petr Starý - The co-driver: "We are going to the competition which we already passed and we are prepared better than last year. The surface of the tracks is uniform, snow with ice. Many of the S.S. are repeated, what is a small advantage for us. There is enough snow according to the latest information."
Marek Silhánek - The head of the team: "Cars are in England now. They went there right after the end of Rally Monte Carlo. Junior's car got a new engine and new gearbox. Of course it passed through the complete round of obligatory tests and replacement of parts. We will adjust the chassis of the car according to Freddy's adjustment last year. Kenneth Ericsson will help us to adjust the chassis while testing phase."
Peter Koci, Eng. - General Manager: "After the good result in Monte Carlo we are still realists and we are continuing next hard work. Many Nordic drivers will start in Sweden, who have driven there many kilometres in this conditions. Also last year the best drivers with 'N' category cars reached similar times with WRC cars. Our aim is to have satisfying place between the private WRC cars with emphasis not to make useless mistake and to get through the whole competition. I believe that all our team will perform it professionally.
