Quotes after SS 4

Marcus: "Unfortunately, I slid off and retired on the very first corner of stage one. There was nothing I could do about it: we braked normally for the left-hand corner but there was a patch of standing water and we just aquaplaned off. The impact broke a hub and we were out. If we had still had gravel crews maybe they could have warned us about the hazard, but as it is we were passengers from the moment we touched the brakes. The car is not too badly damaged, so I think we will be starting again under the Super Rally rules tomorrow."

Cedric: "I had no real problems but we were very unlucky with the weather. It started to rain just as we were beginning the last three stages, and I also had an overshoot on SS3 that cost me a bit of time. The only other problem I had was a long brake pedal, but that was my fault as I was overheating the brakes too much. There's a bit of extra responsibility now as my car is the only Peugeot left to score points, but I'm feeling quite confident."

Freddy: "From a few kilometres into the first stage I had an engine misfire at low revs which made life very difficult for me. From then on it was a real struggle, especially seeing as I've not been in the 307 on a rally for several months. Hopefully things will get better.
