BRITAIN'S leading FIA World Rally Championship pairing of Matthew Wilson and co-driver Scott Martin lie sixth overnight going into the final day at Rally de Espana.

And the 23-year-old Ford Focus RS WRC driver was delighted with his progress so far.

"I'm pleased to be sixth even if the car hasn't been running as well as it was on the opening day," said Wilson.

"We lowered the front and changed springs on the rear at the afternoon service - it definitely made everything run smoother but more work will need to be done at service tonight.

"But I'm looking forward to the last day and hopefully a good finish."

Ken Block, Stobart M-Sport Ford's other nominated points scorer in France, is currently lying tenth overall in the team's other Ford Focus RS WRC.
