Angelo and Barbara Medeghini with Mitsubishi Lancer Evo and together with Kome Sport, after 14 Special Stages of Rally Argentina are 2nd in the Production Car placing.

Yesterday it was quite a difficult day for all the entrants of Rally Argentina, the winter of Argentina brought cold weather and a lot of rain, so the route is quite muddy now.

Angelo and Barbara Medeghini even if with little experience in this rally (Medeghini last entered this race in 1996) maintain a good pace and steadily gained speed and confidence, in spite of a few problems they had.

In SS 6 Villa Giardino-La Falda 1, they had steering problems and in SS 8 Asochinga-La Cumbre 2 of 28,74 km, the longest stage of the event, approximately 200 m from the finish of the stage lost one wheel, but nevertheless they were able to finish the stage and score the second best time in Group N.

"It is a fantastic race" said Angelo Medeghini at the end of the leg "The stages are very nice, but it is very easy to make a mistake. In one stage we went a bit too fast on a jump, we had a spin and we damaged the steering so we had to run the following two stages with the car not in perfect conditions"

The Kome Sport crew finished the first leg (10 SS including the two opening stages, 162,34 km) second of Group N just behind Nasser Al-Attiyah (Subaru).

Today the weather didn't improve, it is still very cold and wet.

Today's leg is divided into 7 SS (114,35 km), the first 4 stages are located in Calamuchita Valley south of Villa Carlos Paz, then the crews will head north again for the lòast 3 stages of the day. Up to now 4 SS have been run and Angelo Medeghini with hist Mitsubishi Lancer Evo Kome Sport maintain the second place in the Production Car placing.

After a Service park of 30 minutes they will run the last stages of the leg.

Tomorrows leg will start at 07.07 (GMT -3) and will finish at 13.23. It is divided into 5 Special Stages (64.13 km).
